US Pet Day!

Founded in 2005, National Pet Day in the US is a day that encourages us to pay special attention to pets who may not get that extra attention. Ways to celebrate include adopting a pet, volunteering at your local shelter or buying your pet a fun new toy... or two!

When is National Pet Day?

The fight will be on Wednesday, April 11 2018 at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. The time of the fight is yet to be announced.

What is National Pet Day?

Mothers Day, or Mothering Sunday, is a celebration of mothers, motherhood, grandmothers, or special people who you would like to treat with a cup of tea in bed, hugs, kisses and presents! Mother's Day in the UK accounts for a quarter of all flower and plant sales annually!

How can I celebrate National Pet Day?

The fight will be held under boxing rules, Conor McGregor will not be able to use leg kicks or take-downs he is used to employing under his UFC wins. Instead the fighters will be using 10-ounce boxing gloves, which are larger than the UFC gloves Conor is used to. Dana White, the president of UFC, told ESPN recently than McGregor will weigh in at 154 pounds.

How much money will the fighters make?

Boxing Kingdom estimates that Mayweather could make as much as $400 million for the fight, and for McGregor, $127 million - seven times more than he's made from any UFC event. "This is really an unprecedented event," said Stephen Espinoza, who heads Showtime Sports. "Really we haven't seen anything in modern history that resembles it, it's impossible to predict how many sales this will do."

Who is expected to win?

The odds are hugely in favor of Mayweather winning, currently at around 100-1. But as Conor McGregor told the media back in March "Watch me take over boxing, trust me on that. Watch me step in and shock the whole damn world. I'm 28, a confident mother f*cker, long, rangy, dangerous with both hands. Believe me, I'm going to step in there and knock out Floyd and you're all going to eat your words. I am boxing."
