Holi is a colorful Hindu festival that marks the arrival of Spring in India and Nepal and celebrating the triumph of good over evil. होली मुबारक हो!

When is Holi?

Holi will begin on Wednesday 20 March 2019, it takes place on the last full moon of the Hindu lunar month Phalguna. It also coincides with Indian winter's transitions into pre-monsoon or summer season.

What is Holi?

Every year millions of people in India, Nepal and other countries around the world celebrate the Holi festival. The Hindu festival of colors is a celebration of spring, love, triumph of good over evil and fertility. It's unclear as to when Holi celebrations first begun but there are some references from 4th centery poetry.

How can I celebrate Holi?

It's known as the Festival of Colors or the Festival of Love as revellers cover each other with coloured powders as they celebrate with food, dancing, and water fights!
